Moons

An old Tanzanian Proverb states, “I pointed out to you the moon, and all you saw was the tip of my finger”. I must admit that I was just like the person looking at the tip of the finger. Photography has opened a path for me not only to look, but also to see. Moon shots are special to me. I love both the stark contrast of the night views of the moon against the blackness of darkness and the pale, almost transparent views of the moon against the varied colors of the morning sky. My absolute personal favorites are those of the moon against a beautiful blue sky. Mahatma Gandhi states, “When I admire the wonder of a sunset or the beauty of the moon, my soul expands in worship.” I second that statement.
